COURSE DESCRIPTION


B.A. Hons. Hindi or Bachelor of Arts Honours in Hindi is an undergraduate Hindi language course. Hindi is the study of literature, linguistics and philosophy of the Hindi language. Subjects typically studied under this degree are Poetry, Drama, Fiction, Literary Criticism, Literary History etc. The program consists of ten common courses, fourteen core courses, eight complimentary courses; two choice based courses and project work. The common courses include six courses in English and four courses in Hindi. Fourteen core courses are dedicated to Hindi Language and Literature. The eight complementary courses are so designed as to supplement the core courses and some of them are professionally oriented. The choice based courses are purely profession-oriented so that not only the students of Hindi Program but also of other Programs can get an opportunity to take advantage of them.


B.A. Hons. Hindi Eligibility      

  • 10+2 or any other equivalent qualification with minimum 60% marks from a recognised Board.
  • Some of the very reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.

B.A. Hons. Hindi Course Suitability

  • Course is suitable for those who have planned of becoming teacher and lecturer after having passed their graduation and post-graduation degree also can go for this course.
  • Candidates go for the research field in Hindi Language and literature also is capable for it.
  • Candidates should have good communication skills in Hindi and English as it is required both for the course and during career later.
