COURSE DESCRIPTION


B.Sc. (Hons.) Forensic Science or Bachelor of Science Honours in Forensic Science is an undergraduate Forensic Science course. Course includes crime scene investigation techniques, advanced chemical and microbiological analysis and specialist areas such as forensic entomology and forensic anthropology. It fulfils the growing demand for expertise in investigatory, enforcement and monitoring work, including incident scene investigation, physical evidence collection, and laboratory analysis of evidence and defence of testimony. Students will learn the various theories of crime and deviance in society that form the basis of criminal law and criminal justice system of the country. Upon graduation, graduates will be able to perform crime scene investigation, analysis and report writing and expert in the court of law. Also appreciate the concept of a civil community that respects the rights and property of others and abhors violence, theft and exploitation of others.
