COURSE DESCRIPTION

B.Sc. Mathematics or Bachelor of Science in Mathematics is an undergraduate Mathematics course. Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, and change. Mathematicians seek out patterns, and formulate new conjectures. B.Sc. in Mathematics is generally three academic year course and it may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The degree course is very important and career orienting in nature. It is being provided by many colleges/universities in the country. After completing the course candidates have a lot of job scopes in various areas.

B.Sc. Mathematics Eligibility

• The candidates should complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• The marks and interview for the admission of this course may vary from college to college; and percentage of 12^th class for the admission of students.

B.Sc. Mathematics Course Suitability

• Students those who interested or desirous in Mathematics and have analysing and interpreting the resultant data, finding patterns and drawing conclusions are the most suitable for it.
• Those who are willing to go for teaching fields at higher degree level i.e. college and university level both in private and government institutions also are good match for it.
• Candidates having skills like an ability to present mathematical arguments and conclusions from them with accuracy and clarity; advanced numeracy skills and the ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data also are suitable for the course.
• They must have the patience to spend long periods of time concentrating on complex problems; able to work independently and able to present their own ideas clearly for which good communication skill are required.
