COURSE DESCRIPTION

B.Tech. Nuclear Science & Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Nuclear Science & Engineering is an undergraduate Nuclear Science course. Nuclear engineering is the branch of engineering deals with the application of the breakdown (fission) as well as the fusion of atomic nuclei and / or the application of other sub-atomic physics, based on the principles of nuclear physics. The nucleus is a very dense region consisting of nucleons (protons and neutrons) at the centre of an atom. Almost all the mass in an atom is made up from the protons and neutrons in the nucleus, with a very small contribution from the orbiting electrons. The duration of the course is four years and it may be provided by some certain institutes on correspondence basis as well. This is very important and emerging field as it is becoming energy hub for electricity and other areas of life. Candidates can find many job opportunities in the very field after B.Tech. (Nuclear Science & Engineering) degree course.

B.Tech. Nuclear Science & Engineering Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed their 12th class or its equivalent in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50%.
  • Further, applicants will have to appear in JEE (all India level) or in some colleges their own tests also considered criteria of admission.

B.Tech. Nuclear Science & Engineering Course Suitability

  • Candidates who want to contribute in the development of nuclear energy and its inventions are suitable for it.
  • Those who have aiming of becoming teacher, lecturer and professor after having appropriate degree and qualification are can go for the course.
  • They should have reasoning skills, attention to detail, and knowledge which are necessary for it.

How is B.Tech. Nuclear Science & Engineering Course Beneficial?

  • Candidates can find jobs mostly in the government and defence sectors and the Public Sector Atomic Research Organizations.
  • Nuclear engineering careers have unlimited in India and the developed western countries.
  • It gives a solid base for the further higher degree programs.
