COURSE DESCRIPTION

M.E. Mechanical Engineering or Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate Mechanical Engineering course. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. More clearly, it is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. M.E. Mechanical Engineering degree is two years duration and may be less or more from place to place as per their criteria. The syllabus is divided into semesters plus some electives. The course is valuable enough that it opens a lot of job scopes after its successful completion. It is being offered by most of the colleges throughout the country.

M.E. Mechanical Engineering Eligibility

  • Those who have passed B.E./B.Tech. (Automobile/Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing/Mechatronics) are eligible.

M.E. Mechanical Engineering Course Suitability

  • One should have good mechanical engineering skills, technical drawing and computer skills, and ability to conceptualize structures and numeric skills as math's is an important tool for it.
  • Second, who have logical mind to make connections between ideas and handle abstract concepts, creative and innovative ideas to find solutions to problems also are suitable for the course.
  • Other qualities are organizing ability, practicality, ability to get on well with people of all types, ability to keep calm under pressure and flexibly to work in a multi-disciplinary area are an asset in the field.

How is M.E. Mechanical Engineering Course Beneficial?

  • Candidates with this degree and additional management degree could find work in administrative and managerial positions in government departments or public and private sector industries.
  • They can find jobs in automobile, chemical, electronics, steel plants, oil exploration and refining, technical wings of armed forces, space research organization, etc.
  • They can also go for research and teaching in Research and teaching institutes.
