M.Pharm. Pharmacognosy or Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy is a postgraduate Pharmacy course. Pharmacognosy Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines derived from natural sources. More clearly, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function. If substances have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters. The duration of M.Pharm. (Pharmacognosy) is two years and the course is very valuable and important in nature that opens a lot career scopes after the completion of it. There are many medical colleges which are offering the course in their campuses throughout the country.

• Candidates who have passed Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme with not less than 50% of marks, of any recognised University or any other Institute equivalent thereto the University, are eligible for admission to the Master of Pharmacy Programmes.
• The marks of admission for this course may vary from University to University.
