COURSE DESCRIPTION

M.Sc. Physics or Master of Science in Physics is a postgraduate Physics course. Physics is a natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space time, along with related concepts such as energy and force. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted to understand how the universe behaves. The duration of M.Sc. in Physics is mostly of two academic years but it varies from institute to institute. The Bangalore University, Karnataka is providing in two years. The minimum time to complete the course is also two years. The syllabus is divided into two semesters and it is very important one is being offered by many institutes in the country.

M.Sc. Physics Eligibility

• They should have 50% aggregate pass marks in Bachelor’s Degree in (any discipline) (with Physics and Maths) or equivalent.
• The marks of admission for this course vary from University to University. In various colleges and Universities there is an entrance exam for the admission.

M.Sc. Physics Course Suitability

• They should have numeracy skills such as using mathematics to find solutions to scientific problems which create mathematical modelling and interpret and present information graphically.
• One must have practical skills as well like by planning, executing and reporting experiments, using technical equipment and paying attention to detail.
• They also have communication skill which gives you skills to communicate complex ideas and use technical language correctly.
• Candidates should be able to write a clear scientific report including theoretical background, experimental description, presentation and analysis of results and interpretation and evaluation.
