COURSE DESCRIPTION

M.Tech. Control Systems or Master of Technology in Control Systems is a two-year postgraduate Software Engineering course. Control systems engineering is the engineering discipline that applies control theory to design systems with desired behaviours. Control Engineering is a multi-disciplinary subject, with applications across a wide range of industrial sectors. Course units include Control and Computer Laboratory, Linear Optimal Control, Intelligent Systems, Non-linear Controllers & Systems, Self-tuning and Adaptive Systems, Manufacturing Automation and Data Engineering, Fault Detection and Diagnosis, and Process Control Systems.

M.Tech. Control Systems Eligibility

  • BE, B.Tech. in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks
  • Some of the very reputed institutes conduct entrance examination for admission.

M.Tech. Control Systems Course Suitability

  • Candidates who want to have an advanced education in control and systems engineering, emphasizing modern theoretical developments and their practical application.
  • It gives a sound fundamental understanding of the principles underlying the operation of control systems. The course enables the students to apply modern control principles in various areas of industry.
  • They should have good communication and interpersonal skills which are necessary for the course.

How is M.Tech. Control Systems Course Beneficial?

  • Those who want to research, design, develop, test and supervise electronic systems and the production of electronic and electrical devices and equipment.
  • Job opportunities are abounding, with electrical engineers being employed in power plants of all types, electricity boards, atomic power plants, robotics, biomedical electronics, petroleum, natural gas, chemical and steel plants.
  • After its completion, they can go for teaching in colleges/universities both on private and government basis.
