M.Tech. Petroleum Technology or Master of Technology in Petroleum Technology is a postgraduate Petroleum Engineering course. Petroleum technology is the discipline that concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Petroleum technology covers many activities from the discovery of natural sources, examination of the natural characteristics and the development of modern machinery for the extraction and processing of petroleum. The programs of study impart knowledge in petroleum geology, exploration methods, reservoir engineering, drilling technology, production technology, environmental management, refining technology, and petroleum economics.
