COURSE DESCRIPTION

Ph.D. Environmental Engineering or Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering is Doctorate Environmental Engineering course. The duration of the program is minimum two years from the date of registration (3 years for external candidates) and maximum 5-6 years. The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree requires students to complete a combination of coursework and original research, under the guidance of a faculty advisor and doctoral committee. It is the application of engineering principles to improve and maintain the environment for the protection of human health, for the protection of nature’s beneficial ecosystems, and for the environment-related enhancement of the quality of human life.

Ph.D. Environmental Engineering Eligibility

  • A Master’s degree is required to gain admission to a doctoral program. In some subjects, doing a Master in Philosophy (M.Phil.) is a prerequisite to start Ph.D.
  • Candidate should clear the common entrance exam conducted by the University for admission.

Ph.D. Environmental Engineering Course Suitability

  • They should have complex problem solving like identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Students also possess operations analysis such as analysing needs and product requirements to create a design.
  • Applicants also possess critical thinking such as using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

How is Ph.D. Environmental Engineering Course Beneficial?

  • The course is suitable to develop research skills which include the formulation and study of original ideas as well as the development of theory, methodology, and experimental skills.
  • The program contributes to the qualification of human resources in engineering, by making them not only able to analyse complex environmental problems taking into account their ecological, social, economic and technological aspects in an integrated manner, but also, and mainly, to devise more efficient and sustainable solutions to these problems.
  • It is beneficial to equip yourself with the tools and techniques of sustainable practice in a variety of educational disciplines, including renewable energies, policy and green building.
  • Many environmental scientists and biologists are being employed in textile mills, refineries, fertilizer plants, food processing, distilleries, mines and other industries in order to for monitoring the levels of pollution. Even NGO’s are employing a large number of environmentalists.

Poornima University, Jaipur

Jaipur, Rajasthan

c, has been born from a strong parentage. Poornima, as the name implies stands for full moon, which symbolizes “Perfection”. We want our students to be like full moon, as perfect as they can be. PU by virtue of being a University, provides students a wide perspective, a melting pot for varied interests, diverse cultures and a multidisciplinary cosmos, where an architect can interact with a commerce research scholar, a physics scholar can interact with an engineering student..
