COURSE DESCRIPTION


Ph.D. Public Administration or Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration is a Doctorate level Public Administration course. Public administration is the development, implementation and study of branches of government policy. The course includes the management of public programs, analysis of the programs themselves with openness to alternatives, and the evaluation of officials and public servants are some areas a Ph.D. in Public Administration candidate may encounter. The minimum duration of the course is three years and that of maximum is five years. The final stage of the course is the submission of ‘thesis’ prepared during the course.


Ph.D. Public Administration Eligibility

  • M.Phil. Degree and a Post-Graduate degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a University or a recognised institution of higher training; 
    or 
    Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognised institution of higher learning and five years of teaching/industry/administration/professional experience at senior level.

    This course will examine the function of local economies and financial hierarchies. The class will examine how the growth or decay of businesses affects other parts of the economy and city.
