COURSE DESCRIPTION

M.Tech. Computer Network Engineering or Master of Technology in Computer Network Engineering is a two-year postgraduate Computer Engineering course. The course provides a structured environment to develop your critical understanding of relevant, modern theories associated with practical expertise in networking technologies and applications in a wide range of contexts, preparing you for employment in the network industry. A computer network engineer analyses, installs, configures and monitors the performance of company computer networks. Such networks can encompass LANs, WANs and other deployable networks and involves routers, switches, firewalls, and operating systems. With the increased deployment of ERP systems and underlying connections with vast networks of computers and communications infrastructure in today's computer age, a computer network engineer becomes a key member of the overall IT team.

M.Tech. Computer Network Engineering Eligibility

  • B.E./B.Tech. in relevant subject with 60% or equivalent CGPA
  • Some of the reputed institutes conduct entrance examination for admission.

M.Tech. Computer Network Engineering Course Suitability

  • The course is suitable to focus on secure systems and look at advanced concepts in ethical systems penetration, attack signature detection and mainstream host-based, and network-based protection methods.
  • They should be able to evaluate issues of good governance in the context of the design, deployment, operation and management of Information and information systems.
  • They should have excellent IT skills, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly, the ability to work within a team.

How is M.Tech. Computer Network Engineering Course Beneficial?

  • The course is beneficial to be equipped for a successful career in network support or programming.
  • You could also pursue further research leading to a Ph.D. As it gives a good base for it.
  • Candidates will be well placed to develop a career as a high-level network designer or administrator.
